Addons :Note, you should only download addons from trusted sources. Also, while curse does have a premium service that you have to pay for, you can download any addon with out having to pay a dime. Deadly Boss Mods (DBM): http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/deadly-boss-mods.aspxThis incredibly useful addon gives you warnings if you are standing in fire/black hole/acid to help your survivability. It also keeps track of boss health, cool downs, phases and other timers to help with healing or pew-pewing. Ventrilo: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.phpWhile technically not an addon, this piece of software can help raids run much smoother. It allows for real-time voice communication between raid members. Use it to yell out target swaps, snobalds on your back or just to tell jokes. Omen: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/omen-threat-meter.aspxThis addon takes the guess work out of who the big bad monster is going to be hitting. The tell-tell alarm lets you know when to pop agro reducing abilities if your leet AOE skills are too much for the tank to keep up, or if you happen to back into a patrol. Recount: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/recount.aspxWhile not a necessity to raid, this addon keeps track of damage taken, healing and damage done. This can help you pin-point areas of your DPS rotation or spec to improve (and how much the changes improve your DPS). It can also be helpful in determining what exactly made you go splat Wowinterface: www.wowinterface.com/If you are interested in addons to help keep track of cool downs, bag management, auction house info and tons more; this site is for you. curse: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/default.aspxThis site is a bit slicker than wowinterface and has the ability to automatically install and update addons Websites:Tank Spot: http://www.tankspot.com/forumdisplay.php?206-Project-Marmot-TankSpot-Raid-Movie-GuidesDespite the name, this website is not for tanks only! Watch videos of boss fights before stepping into the raid and hear tips and tricks for higher DPS and staying alive. The forums also have valuable information for up and coming tanks. WowWiki: http://www.wowwiki.com/Portal:MainThis site provides not only lore and quest information, but also information on boss abilities and strats. |
