Poggle is a warlock not by nature, but because when she came of age to
be trained, she thought the word 'warlock' sounded cool. Yes, Poggle
Whistleclank, the Warlock Gnome, does have a nice ring to it. But
Poggle discovered too late that she was not naturally skilled at managing her minions, although she has certainly improved over time.
Fortunately she found a partner who helps make up for her many
Short-comings . . .

Poggle was killing wolves near a copper mine the first time she caught
sight of Beardric Barleehop. As a mangy wolf bore down on her, the
strapping dwarf hunter fired a few rounds into his hide. It was love
at first rescue, and Poggle's knight in leather armor (though he now wears mail) has been
saving her wimpy, yet adorable, behind in battles ever since. They
were married in a private outdoor ceremony and honeymooned at
Amberstill Ranch.

Though the pair is inseperable, their battling styles differ greatly,
with Beardric preferring to flex his strong muscles at the biggest
foes he can survive, while Poggle likes to gently stab littler enemies
who don't bite back (much). But Poggle adores her big, strong, tough,
husband, even when he gets fish stuck in his beard. Which happens
frequently.

Poggle's favorite pasttimes include swimming, mining, and crafting rifles and bullets for her amazing husband to
fire at his prey! She also loves to go on long walks with Beardric
and her pet snowshoe bunny. She is a country girl at heart and
dreads making trips to the big city. Her biggest pet peeve is that Rultai
is allergic to griffons and Jhomtaz is scared of heights, so her pets
never come with her when she flies. Also, she is confounded by the
fact that she can build nifty and complicated devices from scraps
littering her pockets, but she can't manage to stack two soul shards
on top of each other! Curious indeed!
